Direct Support Professional (Part Time)

Who We Are:

Yachad is dedicated to enriching the lives of Jewish individuals with disabilities and their families, by enhancing their communal participation and their connection to Judaism through social and educational programs and support services.

Position Summary:

Provide direct care and vocational training to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting.

Part-time positions are available in Long Island and in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities Include:

Working one-on-one with individuals as well as leading group sessions
Job Coaching at training and various work sites
Monitoring individuals goals and progress
Providing social skills training in individual and group settings
Ensuring paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Creating and implementing group activities
Transportation of individuals to/from program in the morning and afternoon. As well as to job sites and community outings throughout the day.
Working one-on-one with individuals as well as leading group sessions

Job Requirements:

A desire to work with adults with disabilities
Ability to provide positive motivation to others
Caring, dedicated, responsible, and patient are all must
Driver’s License preferred

Salary Range: $18-$19/hour
