This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and creative environment while helping expand the digital reach of a highly respected publication.
This opportunity is available as an Internship provided that the candidate is enrolled in an academic institution and is receiving course credit for the experience.
Role Overview:
As a Marketing and Social Media Intern, you will work closely with the Associate Digital Editor and the marketing team to support Jewish Action’s marketing initiatives and social media strategy. This is opportunity is ideal for students looking to apply their academic learning in a professional setting and to contribute to the OU and Jewish Action's mission.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content for Jewish Action’s social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook).
• Help monitor social media engagement, respond to comments/messages, and track performance metrics.
• Support the execution of marketing campaigns, including email newsletters, special promotions, and seasonal initiatives.
• Conduct research on marketing trends within Jewish communities to inform social media content and campaigns.
• Collaborate on brainstorming sessions to develop creative ideas for posts, reels, and other digital content.
• Help organize and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent messaging.
• Assist with visual content creation (basic design and video editing skills are a plus but not required).
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in college, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong interest in social media management and digital marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms and basic analytics tools.
• Creative thinker with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Passion for Jewish culture, content, and community is highly preferred.
• Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing software is a bonus.
Details:
• Location: OU Headquarters, Hybrid. Must be able to come to our NYC office.
• Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours to accommodate class schedules.
• Duration: Semester-based with the possibility of extension.
• Compensation: Academic Credit
