NCSY Events

  • Plan, run, and follow up with 3 weekly public school clubs
  • Run and expand at least 1 weekly learning program for NCSYers
  • Plan seasonal NCSY public school events for Greater Boston (Kickoffs, Social events, Shabbat meals)
  • Organize 2 chapter shabbaton weekends for teens in Brookline, along with regional advisors
  • Help plan 3 annual New England NCSY Regional Shabbatons
  • Keep Iceburg database up to date with planned events & attendance


  • Manage accounts for connecting teens in the community using social media
  • Advertise events to the wider Boston community. Provide write-ups, and photos from events
  • Recruit Boston teens for 3 Regional Shabbatons, & National Yarchei Kallah
  • Organize info sessions & other recruitment efforts in conjunction with NCSY Summer
  • Participate in other Boston community and fundraising events, as needed
  • Build up a Teen Board to maximize their role as leaders and recruiters
  • Work with Regional advisors assigned to Boston for events & recruitment efforts

YIB Youth Department

  • Build relationships with all YIB youth, parents, and youth leaders
  • Supervise, develop, and coordinate shul youth groups including: weekly groups for ages 4-10, Tot Shabbat, and High Holiday babysitting
  • Organize monthly YIB Teen Minyan
  • Run additional monthly shul youth event (Sunday or weekday)
  • Create communications to advertise youth programming at YIB
  • NOTE: Youth Director is expected to daven at YIB all Shabbatot and holidays, except:
      • 4 Shabbatot vacation, and 5 away for NCSY Shabbatons
      • First days of Sukkot, and all of Pesach
