Development Associate - NY NCSY

New York NCSY – Development Associate
The position of Development Associate has four primary components:
(1) Soliciting small and medium gifts
(2) Managing the region’s online and annual campaigns
(3) Steering fundraising events
(4) Oversight of Velocity and region’s tracking of its donations, pledges and solicitations
The Development Office will:
● Be passionately invested in NCSY’s mission of inspiring the Jewish future
● Be supervised by the Chief Development Officer, and will work in concert with all the
regional staff
● Develop and grow an individual portfolio of small and medium gifts ($500-$10,000)
with an initial goal to raise $200,000 by June 2023
● Create relationships with donors and prospects; strengthen current relationships and
secure gifts through individually tailored face-to-face, one-on-one cultivation and
solicitation meetings
● Enhance programs designed to secure both short- and long-range fundraising objectives
● Analyze potential fundraising pipelines and targets that assist the department in
reaching its objectives
● Manage online crowdfunding campaigns, Day of Giving and mailings
● Run key fundraising events, such as Bake sales, Basketball Tournaments, Sponsored
learnathons, golf outings, marathons etc.
● Manage Velocity to organize and track our donations, both ensuring the development
department is in compliance with our CRM expectations, and that regional staff are
appropriately utilizing Velocity to maximize success
QUALIFICATIONS:
● 5+ years of proven fundraising or sales success with demonstrable record of growth
● Undergraduate degree, with graduate qualification preferred
● Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, oral and written
● Demonstrated ability to motivate and collaborate effectively within the fundraising team,
regional staff and lay leaders
