POSITION SUMMARY: Plans, directs, and coordinates Development activities, support for major fundraising activities and special projects, by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Regular duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Fundraising – Establishes short- and long-range goals for fundraising department in the area of peer to peer fundraising, support with crowdfunding efforts and alumni relations.
• Strategizes and orchestrates methods of approach to Friend of Yachad board, membership and program development.
• Builds the infrastructure of Team Yachad color runs, Gen-Events programs and local young professional project
• Responsible for recruitment for Team Yachad Miami and Jerusalem, includes visits to schools, college campuses, liaise with other staff to recruit community members
• Marketing & Public Relations – Establish a stronger plan in the promotion of fundraising programs
• Work closely with Yachad office staff and OU marketing team to properly arrange mailings, printing and production of necessary materials in a timely manner
• Work closely with OU Web team to enhance program event sites and boost visibility, encouraging larger program participation
• Responsible for thorough follow up with all parties: participants, vendors and staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 2 years of direct fundraising experience with track record of individual solicitations.
• Knowledge of New York Jewish community helpful.
• Willingness to be part of a team, yet able to work independently on projects.
