Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Manager

Seeking a professional and organized individual for our HCBS (Com Hab and Respite) services. The HCBS Manager is responsible for hiring, training and supervising staff as well as ensuring that all documentation is completed per OPWDD regulations.

This is a full-time position.

         Essential Functions:

  1. Manages the staff who work on a regular basis with the individuals.
  2. Oversees and reviews the staff’s performance.
  3. Responsible for making sure that the paperwork is properly filled out and sending it in to the billing department.
  4. Oversees hours of services provided and tracking each individual’s budget.
  5. Contacts families and staff to discuss how the individual is progressing and to discuss ways to improve their program.
  6. Expand the programs to provide services throughout New York City and Long Island.
  7. Attend Life Plan meets and develop Staff Action Plans.
  8. Remain in contact with Care Coordinator and families.

 

Job Qualifications:

  1. Experience working with the developmentally disabled population preferred.
  2. Management experience and BA preferred.
  3. Must have a driver’s license and be willing to travel to Long Island and all five boroughs of New York City.
