The Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus is seeking a married couple to join the team as full or part time Assistant Directors at Herzliya (IDC).
As OU-JLIC Assistant Directors, you will…
- Engage a vibrant community of university students, young professionals & lone soldiers
- Learn & Teach in Chevrutot, Chaburot, and Shiurim
- Mentor community members & students, support their personal & religious development
- Provide social opportunities; build community
- Enhance Jewish life on campus & beyond.
- Collaborate with senior JLIC Directors, R’ Noam & Shiffy Friedman.
The ideal candidates will possess:
- Broad, advanced Torah learning background.
- Collaborative mindset, ability to work well with a team.
- Demonstrated teaching ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills/social intelligence.
- Open-minded/non-judgmental attitude.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Advanced secular knowledge; exposure to/appreciation for university culture.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Personal warmth and concern for others.
OU-JLIC at IDC, in partnership with World Mizrachi, mainly serves International population in Herzliya, Israel, giving them a home so far away from home, Torah study opportunities in English, and a venue to meet each other. The community is blessed with hundreds of students, lone soldiers, young professionals and couples from dozens of different countries.
