Miami-Dade Field Director Job Description
The Miami-Dade Field Director will:
- Grow Teach Florida’s activist and ambassador network through meeting and developing schools parents, synagogue members, condo associations and senior & community centers
- Conduct voter registration activities in above mentioned areas
- Develop and manage volunteers to register voters, assist in voter communications and get out the vote strategies and events
- Engage Miami-Dade constituents in action alerts, rallies and other advocacy activities
- Represent Teach Florida at various school and community events and forums
- Manage and create systematic content for social media and communications with their networks
- Build up and manage social media reach and email lists
- Manage and perfect Teach Florida lists and databases for Miami-Dade
- Assist in execution of all Teach Florida events including annual Legislative Breakfast
Qualifications and Skills:
- Be well-organized, detail-oriented, dependable and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people of all ages
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Strong social media skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem solving skills and ability to work and stay poised under pressure;
- Committed to Jewish day school education, fair government funding of nonpublic schools and activism
