Job Responsibilities:

Events and Programming

  • Weekly NCSY learning event (ie Latte-n-Learn)
  • Organize monthly NCSY Chapter Shabbatons with advisor team
  • Seasonal teen social and learning events (kick-off events, holiday events, onegs, etc.)
  • Attend all NCSY Regional Shabbatons and trips as member of the Regional Staff
  • Recruit and build up Rochester NCSY chapter presence on Regional and National events and programs


  • Host teens for Shabbat meals and events
  • Strong, positive presence in shul for teens on Shabbat
  • Build connections among all Rochester youth
  • Inspire learners through various teaching opportunities, including but not limited to tefillah, Torah discussions, and teaching classes


  • Personal connections and relationships will ultimately determine your success in this position
  • Build and maintain a platform for connecting teens in the community using social media
  • Represent NCSY in the Rochester Jewish community (including synagogues, schools, Federation) in order to effectively build up the chapter and ensure more successful events
