About Us:
The Orthodox Union (OU) is the largest Orthodox Jewish organization in the United States. Founded in 1898, the OU supports a network of synagogues, youth programs, Jewish and Religious Zionist advocacy programs, programs for the disabled, localized religious study programs, and international units. The OU maintains a kosher certification service, whose circled U symbol, Ⓤ, is found on the labels of many kosher commercial and consumer food products.
Position Summary:
Joining the Institutional Advancement Department as an Executive Fellow, you will be an integral part of our fundraising efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in donor relations, planned giving, survey administration, and grant writing.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Donor Engagement and Correspondence:
- Assist in managing communications with donors, particularly in our Membership campaign.
Contribute to crafting tailored letters and emails to engage and cultivate relationships with donors, ensuring a personalized approach.
Planned Giving Administration:
- Aid in preparing materials for Planned Giving prospects, including letters, brochures, and informational packets.
- Assist in maintaining records and tracking interactions with potential Planned Giving donors.
Survey Administration and Analysis:
- Support the coordination and distribution of surveys aimed at gathering donor feedback and enhancing engagement.
- Analyze survey data, compile reports, and provide actionable insights to optimize donor relations strategies.
Grant Writing Assistance:
- Assist in researching and gathering information for grant proposals.
- Contribute to drafting and editing grant proposals, aligning with funder requirements and organizational objectives.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this Fellowship is $40,000.
